Impromptu music meditation and introduction to Indian music pedagogy (no prior musical knowledge required)

The event opens with a short meditation on the notes of a raga played live on sarod. The goal of this meditation is to create mental space, focus on the sounds and accept whatever the mind has in store for us.  This state of mind will be the key to participating in a short vocal workshop, an example of traditional Indian music pedagogy.
